Hello! My name is Madeline Oehlerich and I am a Psychologist at YLO Psychology Clinic. I hold a Masters Degree in Psychology, specifically in the field of Health Psychology. I am also a member of the Australian Psychological Society. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and their families across the private, community, and public sectors.
At YLO Psychology Clinic I work with young people and their families across a range of presentations such as Anxiety, Depression, Autism, ADHD, difficult behaviours, adjustment through stressful life events like parental separation/ divorce and provide parenting skills development and support. I also work with young people that experience chronic pain that affects their mental health.
When working with young people I utilise a biopsychosocial approach and provide evidence-based interventions that are client-centred, holistic, and inclusive of the family. I believe it is important psychological treatment is collaborative and individually tailored to my client’s needs.
Beyond individual therapy, I am also experienced in conducting cognitive and emotional assessments to investigate IQ, mental abilities, learning disabilities such as Dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism.
I regularly engage in professional development activities to ensure that I am up to date with the latest research for my practice.
